CountSignal Privacy Policy

1. App and operator

CountSignal is operated by MyungHoon Park (brand: 훈연스튜디오). Privacy questions and requests may be sent to hunyeon.studio@gmail.com.

2. Privacy summary

CountSignal is an offline-first tally counter. Your current count and reset-recovery state remain on your device and are not sent to the operator. The app has no user account and no developer-operated server. The app uses Google Mobile Ads for two fixed banner placements and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for applicable consent and privacy choices.

3. Information stored only on your device

CountSignal stores the following information in local iOS app storage so that your counter can survive relaunches:

• the current count;
• the previous total needed for one-time Restore after Reset to 0; and
• the last-action state shown on screen.

This information is not transmitted to the operator. You can replace the current value by using Reset to 0. Removing the app through iOS deletes the app’s local storage, subject to iOS backup and restore behavior controlled by Apple and the user.

4. Information processed by the operator

The operator does not run an account system, analytics service, or backend for CountSignal and does not receive your counter values. The operator may view aggregated advertising reports supplied by Google, such as ad requests, impressions, estimated revenue, country-level performance, and policy or serving status. These reports are used to operate the app’s advertising and are not used by the operator to identify individual users.

5. Google advertising and consent

CountSignal uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to request banner ads and the Google UMP SDK to obtain and manage applicable privacy choices. Depending on the user’s region, consent choices, device settings, and Google’s configuration, these services may process information such as an IP address used to estimate coarse location, device identifiers, advertising data, ad and app interactions, crash information, performance information, and other diagnostic information.

When applicable, CountSignal may ask for Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission after presenting Google’s privacy message. If you decline, the counter remains fully usable and Google can continue to request ads without sending the IDFA. Google’s processing remains subject to iOS restrictions, the user’s consent choices, and Google’s policies. CountSignal does not use interstitial, app-open, rewarded, or native ads. Ads are limited to fixed banner areas at the top and bottom of the main screen.

6. Privacy choices and reporting ads

Open the unobtrusive More (⋯) menu in the main screen header to read this policy, obtain support, or report an inappropriate or age-inappropriate ad. Where Google requires a privacy-options entry point, Privacy choices also appears in that menu. Google ads may provide an ad-information or AdChoices control for feedback about the displayed creative.

7. Permissions and external links

CountSignal does not request access to your camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, photos, health data, notifications, or files. Network access is used for Google advertising, consent messages, and links that you choose to open. External pages are governed by their own privacy practices.

8. Retention, deletion, and consent withdrawal

Local counter information remains until it is replaced, reset, or removed with the app. CountSignal has no account to delete and no operator-controlled copy of your counter values. Google retains and deletes information according to its own policies. Where the in-app privacy-options control is required, open More (⋯) > Privacy choices to revisit or withdraw applicable consent. 9. Children’s privacy

CountSignal is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 or placed in the App Store Kids Category. The operator does not knowingly collect counter values or account information from children. Advertising configuration and the app’s age rating are intended to limit unsuitable ad content.

10. Security and international processing

CountSignal minimizes operator-held data by keeping counter information on the device and operating without an account or backend. Information processed by Google may be handled in countries other than the user’s country under Google’s safeguards and policies. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when CountSignal’s features, SDKs, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be reflected in the public policy used by the app and App Store listing.
